The bite from the centipedes is very painful and you should stay away from the region during your stay in Fiji. Lionfish

They usually raise their dorsal fin which has sharp spines and the spine will pierce through your skin before delivering the dangerous venom. Barracuda

Barracuda are some of the very aggressive creatures that you are going to encounter in the Pacific waters. These creatures usually have razor-sharp teeth and venom as well. They are predatory fish in nature hence they are always on the hunt for their prey. If you are a deep water sports enthusiast then you should watch out for these creatures.

They usually like to live around coral reefs and it is critical to understand that these species are known to have fanged teeth which are pointed and very dangerous. The barracudas are known to travel at speeds of up to 27 miles per hour and they attack their prey within a minute. These fish usually mistake the snorkelers for their prey and they attack them with venom.

Sea snakes

The sea snakes are some of the dangerous creatures that you are going to find in Fiji. These creatures are very dangerous because their venom level is highly toxic and it is known to cause instant death if it is administered to your body.  A single dose of the venom from the sea snake is enough to cause instant death to an adult man. Ideally, the venom from the sea snake in a single attack is enough to kill five people at a go. These creatures are very dangerous and you should avoid them at all costs.

It is important to understand that they are usually gentle to aggressive and you will not know them until you have interacted with these creatures. There has been death that has been reported from attacks from these snakes.

Cane toad

These toads usually have warty back on their backs and these usually secrete poison which is known to be very dangerous. The poison is fatal if it comes in contact with it. It is imperative that during your trip to Fiji that you should avoid the area. These toads usually puff and release their venom and when you encounter them you should keep a safe distance and avoid any interaction with the creature.

Saltwater Crocodile

The saltwater crocodile is one of the dangerous creatures that you are going to find in Fiji. according to recent data the crocs are responsible for the death of a thousand people each year. You must stay at a safe distance from these dangerous creatures. Saltwater crocodiles usually grow up to 20 feet long and can weigh over 2000 pounds. It is imperative to note that they usually hide in the water and they attack their prey whenever they come into proximity to the region. These crocs are usually on the western edge of the Fijian islands.

Fire Coral

The fire coral is an iconic creature that you are going to find in Fiji.  Many people tend to assume that this is a coral, however, this is not the case because it is a hydrozoa. They are mostly related to anemones than corals.  These creatures are characterized by their hard exoskeleton which is yellow or green.

A single touch from the fire coral is enough to leave you with an incredible amount of venom. You must stay away from these creatures because they are very dangerous.  The fire corals usually have miniature tentacles on their body surface and the sting very hard and will cause excruciating pain, hallucinations, and difficulty breathing among others. If you are highly allergic to the venom then it can be very dangerous.
