The muscles are used to constrict the prey and crush the bones. once the prey is crushed they swallow it. This might seem to be a small creature to many people. However, bullet ant is one of the most dangerous creatures that you are likely to encounter while on your trip to Brazil. They have a very venomous sting that you will feel extremely painful. According to reports a sting from the ant is like a bullet shot or walking in coal with needles. The ants are usually less aggressive unless you disturb their habitat is when they can attack. However, if you mind your business then they are less likely to attack you. These ants will defend their territory by attacking repeatedly. 

In a situation where the ants attack you, the pain will last for over a day and it is a very intense and lingering pain that even common painkillers might not work. According to victims the sting from the ant contains a paralyzing toxin and this may cause swelling of limbs and an increased heart rate.
